Annual General Meeting 2025 in Mascouche

The Annual General Meeting of the Association des Archambault d’Amérique took place on June 1, 2025, in Mascouche—a town proudly marking the 275th anniversary of one of the province’s oldest parishes, Saint-Henri-de-la-Mascouche, established in 1750

This historically rich site in the Lanaudière region has been home to numerous Archambault families, notably Joseph Archambault (1868–1909). A prominent figure in the community, Joseph held several key roles: county prefect, municipal councillor, mayor, and president of the agricultural society. His entrepreneurial ventures included running a discount bank in L’Épiphanie and Saint-Lin, managing telephone services in the region, and owning part of the fief Martel, acquired from Seigneur Massue de Varenne.

The meeting unfolded in a warm, welcoming atmosphere and was followed by a hearty and convivial meal.

After dining, we were honored to host filmmaker Louise Archambault, daughter of our auditor Roger. With grace and openness, Louise engaged the audience, answering questions and sharing memorable moments from her impressive career along with behind-the-scenes anecdotes that captivated everyone in attendance.

The day concluded with a visit to the historic church of Paroisse-de-Saint-Henri-de-Mascouche. Participants were given the rare opportunity to explore the crypt, which holds approximately 50 tombs belonging to Mascouche’s notable residents from the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Attendees left fulfilled, enriched, and delighted by a truly memorable experience.
