Annual General Meeting 2022 – Reunion in Saint-Césaire

The members of the Archambault d’Amérique Board of Directors are pleased to invite you to Saint-Césaire, at the Bistro du Golf, located at 140 Chemin St-François, Saint-Césaire, J0L 1T0, where the Annual General Meeting will be held on September 18, 2022.

On this occasion, we will highlight the role of Archambault who have marked the life of Saint-Césaire. Genealogical charts prepared by Pierre, our archivist, will be presented. In addition, Mr. Gilles Bachand, historian, will talk about the history of this municipality.

About thirty photos and articles of the family of 10 children of Paul Archambault, married in Saint-Césaire on March 7, 1848 to Marie Ménard and of the family of 13 children of their son Lucien married in Saint-Césaire to Marie-Anne Gareau on November 18, 1872, will be displayed for the occasion.

This large family from Saint-Césaire settled in West Warwick, R.I., in 1888.

The Archambault family was legendary on West Rhodes Island and was the only French single-parent family in the entire state. Marie Ménard wife of Paul Archambault, was one of the most honorable French women in West Warwick.

Note that among this West Warwick family, we find a Mayor, a Councilman and President of the Town Council, Senators, Notaries, Judges, store owners, Doctors, renamed to the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame in 2021, undertakers, Franciscans, etc.
