A great maple‑sweet gathering

On April 17, 2026, a beautiful spring day, 36 people accepted our invitation and gathered to enjoy some sweet treats at the traditional sugar shack “Au Bec Sucré” in Valcourt.

The atmosphere was simply exceptional—a true Archambault gathering filled with good humor. The traditional meal, both generous and delicious, began with homemade pea soup served with grilled bread. This was followed by ham with maple syrup, eggs cooked in syrup, pork rinds, baked beans, omelet, grilled potatoes, raw vegetables, and coleslaw. The meal ended on a high note with crepes and grand’pa bites. And to add to the fun, participants were treated to maple taffy on snow.

A wonderful time spent connecting with cousins, strengthening the bonds that are the foundation of our great Association des Archambault d’Amérique.
