Born in Montreal on July 23, 1918, to Joseph-Noël, a furniture merchant, and Hectorine Narbonne.
Camille Archambault studied at the Académie Querbes in Outremont and at the Séraphique College in Ottawa. He then took courses at the Faculty of Social, Economic and Political Sciences at the Université de Montréal.
Camille devoted himself and fought all his life for the promotion of road transportation at both the provincial and national levels. Its reputation spread internationally. He was invited to participate and speak at several international congresses.
Upon his retirement, Camille became interested in genealogy and in 1983, he founded our association. He became Scretary of the Fédération des familles souches du Québec and founding president of the Rassemblement des associations de famille, which took part in the celebrations marking the 350th anniversary of the founding of Montréal.
Based in Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts, he was active among the local population and was vice-president of the Toison d’Or club. He was responsible for advertising the organization and arranging group trips. Camille died on June 18, 2002
